Celia Bacon

BArch (Hons), DipArch (Dist), ARB

Celia Bacon is an ARB chartered Architect, qualifying in 2011. She founded Any Scale Architecture following 15 years of working for Studio PDP where she designed and delivered a number of luxury residential projects. Most notably the Chelsea Barracks Townhouses and 3-10 Grosvenor Crescent as well as larger unit residential schemes.

Most recently, she lead the envelope package, followed by the front of house fit-out packages on the highly complex and Grade 1 listed luxury hotel project on Piccadilly, Cambridge House, which is due to open in late 2025.

In Celia’s circa 20 years of professional practice, she has led design teams with multiple consultants on heritage and listed projects, as well as new build. She has training in Passivhaus and retrofit, and experience with designing houses with mechanical services beautifully concealed, as well as pools and lifts. She has also worked on commercial fit-out projects.

Celia founded Any Scale Architecture to work on smaller scale projects as she loves the process of seeing them through from inception to completion. She enjoys finding creative solutions and working collaboratively to ensure the client’s needs are met.

Daniel Bacon

BA (Hons), MEng (Hons), CEng, MICE

Daniel Bacon is a chartered Engineer, specialising in Structural Design. He has a broad range of experience working on all scales of projects and buildings, from small private residential refurbishments, to multi-storey apartment blocks, and in a variety of sectors, including the public, educational, commercial, and private.

He is a trusted and competent engineer and understands the behaviour and performance of all common building materials, and has knows how to best to utilise their characteristics for each project.

From this knowledge and experience comes an appreciation that no two projects are ever the same, and Daniel will interrogate each project to find potential difficulties at the design change, but will adapt and evolve the design as the project progresses throughout the construction stage.

Daniel founded the company in 2023 having worked at a central London consultancy, Michael Barclay Projects, for almost 10 years. Before this he worked for a large multi-national consultancy, Atkins, as a Civil Engineer.

Prior to studying Engineering, he completed a degree in Product and Furniture design and worked in lighting manufacture. This experience and interest gives him a unique expertise in being an engineer with a strong passion for achieving quality design at all scales.
